Hi!

I've got a problem that avoid me to run my games in 3D.
My games start to run without any problem, but, little
seconds later, the screen gets blocked. The problem
appears with all and every game ( CFS2, B-17 2, BoB,
demos, etc...), in DirectX and in OpenGL too.

My hardware set is:

- Athlon 850 Mhz
- AOpen AK73 Pro
- Gainwar GeForce 2 MX
- Top Gun Afterburner USB
- 256 Mbytes PC 133
- etc

After reinstalling my machine with that components,
I've renewed BIOS, VIA Chipsets, etc, and reinstalled
DirectX and Detonators. Do you think I'll have to
reinstall Windows Me? Could it be a conflict with
my USB joystick?

Is your video card sharing an IRQ with anything? Or is your USB and soundcard sharing one?

Suicide is painless...........

My would be Advise.

1. If you're using VIA Chipset Motherboard, go to http:?? www.via.com.tw and download the latest 4 in 1 drivers

2. See if there is an update to your BIOS and if there is, then Flash your BIOS. BE CAREFUL WHEN DOING THAT.

3. In BIOS make sure you disable IRQ assigments for USB and disable Serial Ports

4. See in BIOS how is your Memory being set. Is it reading it as 8ns or something else. I have mine set at Turbo. Same applies for the CPU setting.

5. Inside Windows, check for IRQ conflicts. If there are any try swapping one the conflict cards. Usually it will be either your Sound Card or Ethernet card which ever.

6. Download the latest drivers for your Video Card, you can download the faster beta drivers at http://www.guru3d.com/download/, I am using 12.0

7. If this does not solve the problem, then your windows registry is far to messed up and I would strongly suggest reinstalling and start from above mentioned steps, OMIT STEP 2 then.
