hi

i've windows XP and a standard dialup modem

in the modem properties -> advance tab -> change default preferences
button -> advance tab ->modulation: there is a choice V.23(Minitel).

what is it? and when does this choice used ?

Sometimes, using a specific protocol makes it possibe to connect to another modem, which uses Only that one. Modulation types
operate at different speeds.
