Running a duel boot, 98se and Xp HE sp2. Was able to burn both. Power
outage corrupted hal.dll. So I did a fresh install of XP w/sp. Now I
cant burn to Dvd and Cd. Using Nero, Alcohol, Clone Dvd. Have the
update for Nero and still no luck. I can boot to 98 and burn no
problem. When I open My Computer in XP and it shows the Dvd drive
icon as a Dvdr when its empty and when I put a dvd in it says cd-rom.
Settings are set to record in properties. Did a clean uninstall of
nero and reinstall, all it does is lock up. Did uninstall of the Dvd
drive and cd-rom, reboot and let XP reinstall everything. Still no
luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
