We run a Theos Work Program through our Dell Computers here at work. My
program says it cannot connect to COM1. The company in charge of this
program says my port is bad. How can I check this?

The really easy way it to plug a different serial device into the port and
see if it works. See if you can hunt up a serial mouse somewhere and see if
it's recognized in the port.
