ive recently purchased a geforce2 mx-400 and am having some problems installing the drivers. i either get to 3 points. it either installs and then reboots and then the pcu beeps that there is a mainboard problem or it installs the drivers and then locks up. but what usually happens is i install the latest drivers and then after i reboot im looking at a 640*480 w/ 16 colors and then i get a message saying that there is a conflict w another display and that i need to update the drivers. the other display is the built in P.O.S. ati rage. it shows up as nvida but then when i update the drivers it either locks up and the moniter goes "wack" or it reboots and then gives me a motherboard conflict. ive search these boards for a "like" post have have had zero luck. any now would be more than great...

Are you sure that there is no jumper on the motherboard to disable the onboard video. check the bios as well. if all else fails, disable it in windows. What OS you running? Do you have the motherboard make and model available?

A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing!

What about the vga irq. is anything conflicting with that? (I'm not sure if you'll need to seperate IRQ's for the two different cards.
