Game needs all, action romance drama and of course... sex if it's rated M or PG18

Of course, not hardcode or even softcode -- it's just have to be there.

RPGs are supposed to have a bit of everything because its about your choices. Romance is a must have in every good rpg these days, and everyone deserves a little m0ore liberty when playing a game about choices.

Honestly, when it comes to toon-teats presented in high-rez gaming envirnment, I can take it or leave it. I agree with his point about games not being just for kids anymore, but I don't foresee that shift in mentality happening any time soon. If anything, there seems to be a continuing shift TOWARDS a nanny state that will prohibit this sort of thing. People don't want to take the responsibility of educating themselves and subsequently filtering the games and content their kids are exposed to. They would rather have lawyers and courts decide it for them by making it unavailable to everyone, or making it so I might have to go to some smut shop to purchase it (nevermind that I can still walk into a bestbuy and purchase a DVD rife with nudity, profanity, gore and violence not but three aisles over from the video game section).

News flash to all you parents: a wise man said a couple centuries ago that a people willing to trade liberty for safety deserve neither. And that includes the "safety" of your kids from hearing or seeing something you don't like. You as parents should protect them, and leave the rest of us alone to hear the fould language and watch the toon-teats.

I want more sex in real life.

But back to the subject in hand (grins). Lets see, Walmart SELLS rated R movies. There are rated R movies on cable. Even Rated PG can show slight nudity.

And just like R movies doesn't mean porn, but can include full frontal nudity... its Rated R. Games already have a rating... do we need another? Nothing wrong with PORN in game... but it would be nice to have a GTA game be free to make their game "rated-R" without actual sex. Oh yeah, its called "RATED-M" for 17+ age.... DUH!

In many Euro countries and Japan, there has been ADULT (porn) and Mature games (that has nudity).

I don't think this is likely to happen for some time though I also would like it more. We are still far too prudish in the USA for this to happen yet.

I agree, sex in games is not a bad thing. In say an MMO where you're suppose to be living the life of someone else, why shouldn't you have romance and sex? The sad thing is until the US stops being so tight a**ed about the subject, and religion stops trying to crawl into every part of our lives, I'm afraid we may never see this openness. Its sad, we're suppose to be the land of the free and have freedom of speech but sometimes it doesn't feel that way.

I saw the Hangover which is rated 14A in Canada. It has 2 full frontal shots and a couple of boobs. It's rated 14A. I saw it with my granda and younger cousin. "14A can't be that bad". WHY THE HELL DO PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT A LITTLE BIG OF SKIN IN GAMES?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!

I'm a parent. My kids want to play the games I play. I tell them no. Plain and simple.
Be the parent, pay attention to what your kids are doing, watching and playing. It doesn't matter if it's sex or violence.

BTW totally agree with this guy.

Exactly! Games are like movies, stories benefit at times from sex depending on the story of course. Just be a parent and stop being lazy so that games can develop more for the crowds its made for.

If you want realism in games, then yes more sex is appropriate. I think as the generation of gamers age and eventually take positions of power, the prejudice against video games will die (the thought that only kids should/do play games). I am sorry parents if you can't tell your kids no or watch what they are doing then you're a bad parent.

+1 to tenor77, you are a great example of a parent.

If you're married chances are you have a wife. Why do you just want to see (virtual) sex?

Australia only has 15+ ratings so either the games would have to be modified or just banned from sale here.

[citation][nom]anamaniac[/nom]More sex in games plz.I don't fucking care about ratings, I'll let my nephew play with me (he's 3 by the way) in co-op mode.[/citation]
You're disgusting.

This will drop the sales of M rated games, because right now, M rated games are similar to a PG-13 movie. Bring back the AO rating and play your sex games.

the reason that there is a lack of realistic adult situations in America goes right back to the unattenti\/e parent. Most people don't pay enough attention to what their kids are doing, and know e\/en less about the tech world and \/ideo games. they just want the \/ideo game to keep the kids occupied for the most part. They want to buy a box, put it in front of the t\/ and say "go for it" they don't WANT to gather information and be educated on anything. they just want to go about their marry little ways obli\/ious to real situations they should be dealing with. Like the fact that not many parents know how to track ip addresses that connect \/ia instant messaging protocols but then bitch and gripe and whine when it's a pain in the ass to nail a person who's sent pictures of their pri\/ate parts to their kids. How many here ha\/e tracked someones ip \/ia a chat program to find out where your girlfriend/boyfriend really is and how badly they're lying to you? You can do the same thing with a cell phone easily enough. just takes a few minutes a day to read a chat log and check out the ip addresses and ha\/e them on file. not too hard, but nobody does it. Just like not many parents play game demos before buying it for their kids. If you ask me it's like amish people sending their kids into the "adult bookstore" because they're 15 and are considered "adults". wtf really? put those boobies an \/ajayjays and man dongs in there. then slap your big ol mature rating on it, f-it. make micro$oft and $ony and Nintendo$ reject the idea but for it only to be a blockbuster on pc because it has an awesome storyline, gameplay, and just outright rocks. I support the game de\/eloper that shows me some interspecies relations! (not the donkey kind - buying mass effect as soon as my broke ass gets some money)
there's my two cents like it or not it's how it is. own up to your own shit.

Parents indeed overestimate their abilities to control what their kids do. There were movies (such as Silence of the Lambs) my parents wouldn't allow me to see and it sure didn't stop me from watching them but I never admitted that to my parents and still to this day they probably believe I never watched them.

The world is full of experiences that aren't so flattering and I think that part of raising a kid is to make him able to handle such experiences. So I think it's better that you endure these experiences of playing violent videogames and morally questionable movies together than having them doing it behind your back.

Puritan(SP) America... that is why things like this happen.

Why parents can't watch or take care of their kids anymore is beyond me... I hate when I am at work and I see parents get pushed around by their kids... but I guess that is what happens when if you disapline your child now you get them taken away from you, its a shame you can't spank your children anymore if they misbehave in public without a social worker or police jumping on your ass.

also I would like to see more sex in games, not because im a pervert... but because that is a major part of life and if you are playing a game where you are living someones life or creating your own... why can't you have REAL life things in it.

on another note I would love to have virtual sex with my GF and then hit the sheets lol... it would be like foreplay on a sex sim =P

What a bunch of losers you gamers sound like. I want sex in my video game so it'll be more real.....maybe you can get the hot next door neighbor to watch you play. If you can talk to her without wetting your pants.
