Windows 7 64bit keeps crashing my games why?

howdy all i have win 7 64bit

all specs ov my system meet ok
All temps seem fine as well.

When i every play any games they seem to crash getting error saying they have stoped working,

core 2 duo 2.7 stable
6gb ddr2 800
ati 5770
1.5tb hdd

what should i do because all these games cos money but i know when they work on pc they look better than any console
Any help would be nice thanks

Try running game in XP mode

Hi tom01793,

Some older games will not work in Windows 7. You can check the Compatibility Center to see if your specific games are compatible with Windows 7. Just select "software" and type in the name of your game - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx

If you have Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate you can run your games in XP Mode. This will make games that are designed for XP, also work with Windows 7.

Additionally, take a look at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Fixing-game-performance-problems and see if any of the tips help to fix the problem.
