Help! Emails that are being sent to me are being bounced back, with a message
saying:
The following is the reason that the message was over quota:
Quota Type: bytes in the mailbox
Quota Available: 0
Total Quota: 10485760
The message was bounced from the following folder:
INBOX
To fix this problem, delete some messages from your mailbox, and contact
the sender to resend the message.

The problem is, that I haven't got any emails in my inbox, I store them in
folders according to subject!
I have deleted all unnecessary emails such as deleted items, sent items,
i've saved pictures and then deleted the emails. The problem however still
remains.
It is Outlook Express version 6.

The problem is not with Outlook Express.....it's with your Internet Service
Provider, (ie, Earthlink, Charter, Yahoo, Hotmail). You need to log into
yours and go to their webmail site and start deleting stuff in there. You
can also change a setting in Outlook Express to automatically delete
messages from the server after a specified period of time.

Try logging into your email providers web site and look at the emails stored
in your account on the mail server- it sounds like they need to be deleted
as it is the email server that is full.
My email service automatically puts spam into a temporary folder before
deleting them after a period of time, and will store deleted mails in a
folder for a few days too. I also had problems once when my computer
wouldn't accept a mail from the server that was infected, the only way to
resume receipt of emails was to sign onto the email server and delete that
particular email.
