I have never used my CD-R/ RW to copy files to a disc. I need to know how to
turn on the E-IDE for my drive, and what is BIOS? I have so many files I need
to store on my disc, and can not get my cd-rom to work for that. I can play
CD's, and other audio stuff, but I can not save files on my disc. Can someone
help?

1. Open XP's "Help and Support Center".
2. Type: CD RECORDING in the Serach box, hit ENTER.
3. Click on "Copy files and folders to a CD".

Do you have any burning software? You shouldn't need to do anything (if you
have a CD burning) in your BIOS... BIOS is basic input output system and you
don't need to worry about it to do what you're doing. In fact, unless you
NEED to go there - don't. If you have to ask? Don't. <g> Really, grab some
software... It'd make your task easier and there's no need to enter the BIOS
for this.

CDBurnerXP Pro is one of the best burn software programs I have seen and
this includes one that you have to pay for.
