AGP Pro

I recently purchased my first AGP card from a friend. And noticed that in my motherboard (ASUS A7 Pro) there is a larger than normal AGP slot, with a tag on it that says the extra space is for an AGP Pro. What the heck is an AGP Pro? I was dumbfounded. Someone please throw me a bone on this one.

Certain high-end professional Open GL and a very few consumer cards (only I that I can think of) use these extra pins to provide additional current to the GPU. YOu will probably never use it.

AGP Pro provides extra voltage to the video card. Currenty, almost no video card uses it. Only high end cards (with quad GPU's) use it.

It's for AGP cards that require more voltage to run properly. THose cards with have the additional contacts to fit the other part of the socket.
