I am trying to decide on my new computer and I have a short question.

Would you rather have the

ATI all-in-wonder 32mb DDr Radeon W/DVI out for $231

or a

PINNACLE STUDIO PCTV PRO with MJPEG recording and a ATI RADEON VE 32MB AGP DDR DUAL DISPLAY VGA/DVI/TV Card for a combined $172.2

This system will be used mostly for TV, DVD's, word processing and web surfing.. mild gaming and cad app's. Probably little to no video editing. It will probably be pushing a princeton graphics 17.4" LCD.

THanks in advance,

depends if you have an intel or amd system. if it's amd, you might run into trouble if you have a via system. but i'd consider the separate one so if you decide to upgrade later, you wouldn't need to get another tuner.

I would prefer the AIW because you get both features from one slot/one IRQ, and simplified installation. I believe it can record in MPEG2 format with HARDWARE compression, which is a HUGE benefit.
