Can a AGP2X card operate in a 4X slot? Want to re-core my K62-300 w/ a KT-133A chipset MB and would like to keep my Matrox G-200 AGP2x card as I'm not a gamer.

How about vice versa? Putting a Geforce2 in my k62-300 motherboard? I'm pretty sure my agp only goes up to 2x maximum.

Tha may or may not be a problem. Most use the VIA MVP3 chipset which has been known to have problems with any nVidia cards from the TNT2U up. But it might work. Other than that, early AGP motherboards did not supply enough current to run some video cards, so that may or may not be a problem as well. I would stick with a Radeon card at the most for it, as I believe these use less power from the slot.
