I have a Elsa Geforce2 GTS 32 and Amd 1000mhz and 256meg ram what video do i use?
I do notice a little stutter when entering a new area at 1024x768 but i didnt notice any when playing 1280x1024.. but it looks to small for my 17" so i went back to 1024.. what settings should i use?

I tried glide but it only goes to 640x480 unless i change it each time to 800x600(that is the max listed)

So my main question is what settings do i use?

Thank you
:)

With that GTS at stock, you can run 800x600 with everything cranked up to max on unreal tourney or quake 3. If you dial it up to 1024, you'll want to drop either the world or character detail to medium. I've got mine o/c pretty good, and can maintain a 'non-vertigo-inducing' rate (around 30fps) with everything dialed up all the way.

Start with 1024, and dial everything down. Then bring one setting up a notch, and play test your game. Keep dialing up one notch until it seems like you're getting sick watching the screen (vertigo).

Well, first things first, go to Http://www.deusex.com and download the laatest patch. Deus EX has some awful Preformance flaws with Direct3D, and the patch fixes that.... some, about a 40% boost. The game still uses the Unreal engine, which never did that great with Direct3D.

I currrently play Dues Ex at 1024 x 768 32bit color, and everything but detailed textures at full/on. And the frame rate never goes unplayable. never below 15 fps. And I'm running on a PIII - 700, 128 meg, and a TNT2 Ultra. The TNT2 ultra is overclocked, of course, from its original 150/183 to 175/222. But if you're running on a GTS, your card is still phenominally better than mine, even at stock clocking, along with your faster processor, and more, faster RAM.

You should, with the patch, be able to play even up to 1280 x 1024, with Maxiumn world and texture detail. But If your going to be running that high, I would'nt reccomend 32bit color, stay at 16.

Bottom line, try it with 32bit color, 1024 x 768, and all other options full or on. (be sure to download the patch though), If thats too slow, then disable detailed textures, and it should be fine.
