I have a nagging problem with this old laptop. The computer runs fine, but when I open the LCD screen over 65 degrees, the screen goes black, however if you look closely enough, you will be able to barley make out what is on the screen.
I had a friend who opened up this laptop a few years ago to fix this problem, He didn't replace any parts, but he did place a piece of silicone somewhere near the screen to fix a "bad connection" and it was a temporary fix. I am guessing that a part needs to be replaced, however I am not sure if it could be an LCD cable or inverter, or maybe I have to replace the whole screen. What could be the problem?
