Verizon and Alltel allow you to hook up your cell phone to you
computer via data cable and it acts like a modem. You use windows
dial-up networking to call #777 with qnc as the user name and password
and it seems like a regular connection to the Internet via a modem.
Sprint offers the same service with a different login and password and
I'm sure others have it too.

Does Nextel offer the same service? The only mention of such a
service on their website seems to be Dial Up service, but I'd still
need a dial up ISP to call so that is out of the picture.

I have no need for the high speed version as the 14.4k version Verizon
offers is fine for my needs. Does Nextel have something comparable?

Thanks for any help!
JJ
