A new phenomenon has just started tom occur. After booting up with
desktop icons in view suddenly closes down and re-starts. At this stage,
the machine stabilises and runs OK.
Any ideas as to what is happening and how it can be overcome?

Disable automatic restart on system failure (on SP2): Press F8 on restart, and see the menu item to disable auto restart. Restart,
and when the STOP message appears, record information needed for further troubleshooting.
