when similiar items are grouped and you select to remaximize them they will
not expand. If you uncheck group similiar items it will work one by one but
this particular user wants them grouped thanks for any help

As close as one can get to this is to right click on the group and select
Cascade. The windows will reappear but not maximized. Otherwise, click the
group and then click each item to bring the window back up in its last
state.

Actually i figured out the issue, if you are running altiris and its gets
corrupt it will mess up the taskbar and not allow to open any items under
that group, thanks for your help though.

So the issue wasn't how the window opened but getting them to respond at
all when grouped. Interesting side effect from Altiris. Thanks for the
followup.

Correct they wouldnt respond at all, didnt matter what the group was ie,
outlook, word etc if you had more then one window open and they grouped it it
no longer would let any of them open.
