Hello, how to reformat the laptop and install OS?

Insert the OS installation media (DVD, USB), go to BIOS, set the number 1 boot priority to dvd/usb, follow the installation wizard (there's also the option to format the drive during the setup wizard) and all you need to do afterwards is wait.

Some laptops come with a recovery partition to automatically load the operating system, other's you have to use a Windows install disk. What model laptop do you have?
