I'm trying to benchmark my Geforce 2 with different drivers on win98. What's the best way to switch between drivers to insure that each one gets a clean install.

best way is to do a clean format and install with new drivers. but if you do a decremental install (earlier version after later one) it will ask you whether it should keep the current new version or not, you can opt to overwrite it. i guess it would help.

you may remove the current driver from My Computer->Properties->Device Information->Display Adapter and reboot to reload drivers.

before that, it would be necessary to remove the .inf file for that card from C:\Windows\Inf\Other directory so that Windows wont detect the card automatically, but ask you for the drivers.
