Is there any difference between the GF2 Pro and GTS other than the drivers? or can you basically buy a GTS for $20 less, install the new Det. 3 drivers, and make it a GF Pro?

Check out the little details...
eg
core speed, memory type eg 5ns 4ns, memory speed, other features eg tv out
the devil will be in the detial.
i bet you the pro will have a faster core/mem and have more overclocking potential.
and i think (but not sure) the pro is able to utilise the AGPpro slot on the more recent mb's

The PRO is supposed to come with 5.5ns memory, which allows a standard memory clock of 400MHz (ddr) as opposed to the GTS's 6ns (333MHz DDR) rate. This means a lot more performance. Unfortunately, a lot of manufacturers are "cheating" by putting the slower memory on a card and calling it a "PRO". So you really have to verify that the card you are ordering is comming with the faster memory. If it does, it is a much better performer.
