Log on screen

when I turn on my laptop it goes to the boot manger screen, instead of the log on screen. How do I fix this?

  2. yes I have a recovery dvd, but it wont run when I put it in.

    [#0005ff]What are you calling a boot manager screen? Is it simply offering options such as hard disk, CD ROM form which to boot? Before that, do you see the option to press a key to enter Setup or BIOS? If you do, check in there that the Boot Sequence is set to CD/DVD ROM first then pop your recovery DVD in and restart. Be very careful what option you select - you don't want to revert to factory settings because that would lose all your personal files. Look for StartUp Repair if it's available.[/#000ff]
