I got a Radeon 64M recently and wanted to try it out with all my game. Tried out Diablo 2 in 3D mode. For those who play D2, you know that D2 can be play in 2D or 3D. And it seems that the ground become black color in 3D mode and when I switch back to 2D everything seem ok. Just wondering is this a Radeon problem or it is the same for all. A few question:
1) Anyone played D2 in 3D mode.
2) If yes, is this a Radeon Problem only.
3) if it is a Radeon problem, anyway around it?

its not REALLY 3D mode its called perspective view if im not mistaken... and it makes barely any difference to the scene... in diablo games it tends to be the resolution that is the let down... but still with my geforce 2 i get no problems at all in "3D" and normal (truth to tell it runs well enough on my ati rage fury though the 64 megs of ram on that box is a letdown, ive noticed that its that which controls diablo) a radeon incompatibility... how uncommon...

In 2D mode it uses DircetDraw for everything. In 3D mode, It uses Direct3D for some operations. Don't know which ones though.
