Hey,

I am having a problem with a repair install that hangs (for more than
an hour) at the 35 minutes until completion mark. This is on a Compaq
laptop and a Compaq OEM XP Home SP1 disk. I have already tried using
the MS knowledgebase articles
http://support.microsoft.com/defau [...] US;Q315341
and http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=315323 to resolve the issue. I
have also tried googling the web and newsgroups for a solution.

Basically the only things I can do (other than a clean install, which
I'm trying to avoid) are:

Reboot, which tries to continue the repair install from the 39 minute
mark and then hangs at 35 minutes.
Restart the repair install, which hangs at the same 35 minute point
again.
Get into the Recovery Console.

Is there a way to abort an incomplete repair install?

Thanks In Advance,
