Yes I have seen a VM image on the torrent sites I messed with. Not sure how they pulled it of if you want to try the install yourself. I would never use this in a true production environment as it will be very slow.

Well, the official answer is "No." You cannot virtualize the OS X client, only the OS X server. ...but I'm sure there's some industrious types out there that have pulled it off.

I can assure you that, for Tiger and Leopard at least, the answer is a resounding "Yes". And it even accepts updates from the Apple site. You need a very small ISO image for booting and an official Apple DVD for the install.
