Your question

Asus netbook system recovery without usb

January 19, 2013 1:16:58 PM

i recently bought my asus eee PC 1015BX. when i press F9, I am given two options: Recovery and Backup. My question is:
Is it essential to 'backup' for this factory restoration to be successful? What exactly is being backed up? I am hesitant to skip this step and immediately click on 'recovery', as I am not sure what exactly is being backed up. Is it backing up the system files or is it backing up personal files? I do not have any personal documents or images.
Secondly, in the manual it states using a USB for system restore, which I was slightly confused about. Again, is this essential?

Many thanks in advance
