Frames per sec

Could anyone tell me a very good program that gives me avg. frames per second OR live fps when im playing a game for d3d and opengl games.

Quake 3 give you a intergre benchmark for is own 3D engine.

There only 1 reason to make benchmark for a 3D card look if it work well.

Almost all games have the ability to display FPS- if they didn't the developers would have no idea on how well it performs on various 3D cards. It's a matter of finding the commands to see the FPS- it can usually be found be typing some extra commands in the command line interface or using cheats.
