Connectivity: Docking Station - Two Monitors

January 19, 2013 9:00:14 PM

I've got two "just out of the box" Dell Ultra-sharp monitors (U2412Mb) with a just unwrapped Toshiba Dynadock U3.0 and a two year old Asus G74SX laptop that 's gotten little use. The monitors have a DVI and VGA connection, the Dynadock an HDMI and DVI connection, and the laptop has a VGA port at the side with no screw holes into which the VGA plug can secure itself. Of course there's a 3.0 USB to connect the laptop to the docking station. This configuration leaves one monitor unable to connect to the docking station. It looks like the only way to hook up the second monitor is to plug it into the VGA port on the side of the laptop and not worry about it being unable to be screwed securely to the sock. Will this work?
