help! When I try to open most of my e-mail links I get the message "Outlook
Express has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the
inconvenience. More Info App name-msimn.exe mod name- casmf.dll tech info
file included in error report.
C~\DOCUM~1\OWNER\LOCALS~1\TEMP\e98e_appcompat.txt" then promptly crashes. I
also get that message in IEthe first time I open it. Do I have to reinstall
them both to get rid of the problem? I have windows XP SP2

Looks like Spyware to me.

I would begin by running Ad-aware.
http://www.lavasoft.de/ms/index.htm

After downloading and installing Ad-Aware SE check for latest updates before
running.
(Preferably in Safe Mode with System Restore turned off.)
