Ok here is my system in short
duron 650
geforce 2 GTS 32 meg 3d labs
256 megs pc100 sdram
msi mobo
thats all u need to know for this question

I used to run Win 98 till i got sick of it.
Under windows 98 i got decent bench marks aroung 5000 or so in 3dmark2000. Now i upgraded to windows 2000, and i only get 2000 or so on my bench mark. In 3dmark 2001 i only get like 689. I know something is wrong i am maxing out at like 50 FPS in low res part of 3d mark 2000 where i once was getting 100 or more. I have no clue what is going on. I am useing the new 12.41 drivers from Nvidia for windows 2000. I also tried a older version that came from 3d labs website i got the same results. I am getting about 1/2 the performance out of my card. I know windows 2000 is suposed to be alittle slower, but this is CRAZY. Any ideas b/c i am clueless any help would be great

Sorry to hear that, But Win2k is a memory hog, it will not allocate memory worth a darn. What were you problems with win98se?

Just don't use 3dMark2000, it has problems in W2K and sometimes give sparadic benchmarks. Last night it game me 1037 for my MX in W2k other times over 4000. Use 3dmark2001, QuakeIII etc.. Now if other benchmarks indicate the same low scores then you may have a problem. My MX400 performs virtually the same in WinMe as it does W2K. Except for 3dMark2000.

Thanks for your help all i needed was the 4 in 1. I got a 1900 in 3Dmark 2001 not great but about where my computer should be thanks again

ive been having the exact same problem with my athlon 800, windows 2000, directx 8, geforce 2 gts. Does the VIA 4in1 work with all motherboards?

It works for all Mobos with a VIA chipset which is most althlon boards

for me 3dmark 2000 doesnt even work in w2k with my p3 550 320 ram and gf2gts while i got amazing scores in win 98... 3dmark 2001 works well but then again... not the best of benchmarks for a gf2 now is it?
