I'm trying to find an AGP video card that has a low profile bracket, or can fit into a low profile (half height) bracket. I'd prefer to stay clear of fairly generic or weak cards, but if that is all you know about, please give me some model numbers. I appreciate the help.

I work on a lot of systems and have personally never seen one. The closest I have seen are NLX cards, which fit on a double-wide half-height slot that is raised above the motherboard by over an inch, so those are full height cards with a shortened slot. I have seen half height slots on integrated systems, but never any video cards for them.

That's what I thought too actually. In fact when I did searches on pricewatch and a few other places, the only low profile cards that came up were either NICs or SCSI controllers. Unfortnately a few companies are making a case barely bigger than a mATX motherboard and barely higher than a CDROM, so it only accepts low profile cards. You can imagine how much I'd rather be able to puchase my own video card for the system rather than working with the onboard video that motherboard companies make.

I'm looking for a low profile (half-height) VGA card, too. I need one that will fit a PCI slot. The box is a Gateway E-1800 and I want to drive a second monitor under Win2k. One shop here in the home town found a Typhoon half-height PCI card for $265. With all those low profile rack mounted servers out there there must be something cheeper. This E-1800 doesn't have an AGP slot so I'm looking for a different flavor of card. If I do run across a hh AGP I'll try and pass the info to you.
