Odd power problem on my Sony Vaio

I have a sony Vaio VPCF121GX

So 2 days ago I hit my power button and the laptop would startup for a few seconds and get to the vaio splash screen and just shut down.

I kind of freaked out and thought my laptop just died on me

I started by taking the battery out and discharging it by holding the power button down

Nothing at all worked.....until....

I took some compressed air and blew it into the area between my power button and when the power cord goes into across the laptop and magically the laptop turned and and stayed on all day

Just when I thought the problem somehow oddly got fixed the power just went out in my house and came back on within seconds. My laptop turned off since I didn't put the battery back in since the previous troubleshooting and of course for some reason I had the same problem as before it just didn't turn on for more than 3 seconds

Once again I tried the previous steps and finally came to by compressed air blew some in and the thing turns back on...now I feel like this is some really weird way of fixing things and since it reoccurred I'm worried my laptop might just die soon

Feels like I'm putting a band aid on a serious injury here

Anyone know what the heck is going on with my laptop?
