Laptop for $500

Hi everybody, I am looking to find a laptop for my brother. He wants to try and keep the price range around $500. So I am looking for the best one around that price that he will be able to play music, download music, copy music from CD's and use the web. If anyone can help out that would be great, also he would prefer to have Intel over AMD because we have had issues with them in the past.
