Print spooler

WIN XP SP1 with a brother mfc attached.
has been operating normally, now suddenly cannot print, or do anything other
than view installed printers in control panel-printers. Message box says
'print spooler is not installed'.
Can i reinstall the print server without a full WIN XP install?

Run a System File Check

From the command prompt, type

sfc /scannow
(note space between c and /)

If still no change, then you will need to do a Repair Installation.
