dual monitor

Just get a GeForce 2 MX that has the Twin View feature. Look at the back and make sure it has two outputs.
You're not wanting to use flat panels or anything, right?

Or perhaps also look into a Matrox G450.

Yeah, a Matrox would be good. They've got good cards for 2D and dual monitors, which is what you're looking for. I say GeForce 2 MX because they do too, but driver support is probably better.
