GeForce3 vs. GeForce2 Ultra

Is it worth the extra money to get a GeForce3 card? I've dwindled down my options here to a GeForce3 or a GeForce2 Ultra. The GeForce3 is quite a bit more expensive. Is it worth the extra money or am I better off saving the extra cash and buying a GeForce 2 Ultra?

yes, it has features that will keep it going longer than a geforce 2 ultra would. It performs that of a geforce 2 ultra in directx 7 games but kills the geforce 2 ultra in directx 8 games which will start to come out now. In the long run, the geforce 3 is a much better choice.

If I were to get a card now, it would not be the GeForce 2 Ultra. If I could afford it, I'd buy the GF3. If I was limited on budget, perhaps a gts or a radeon. I'd keep that for as long as possible to save up for the next card which would be the top of the range one.
