Hello all!

O.K., here it is,

I'm getting a new computer wich I will use for music recording (Sound Forge, Cubasis etc.), photo treatment (Photoshop), video editing (Vegas etc.).

The system is composed of:

Box Antec 1080AMG with True Power 430watts power supply
Pentium 4 - 2,8Ghz with FSB at 800Mhz
Asus P4P800DX mobo (RAID controller is Intel ICH5R)
Dual channel PC400 DDR RAM 2x512megs (1GB)
2x 120GB HD Seagate Barracuda 7200 SATA (I think (but not shure) that they have an 8Mb buffer onboard)
DVD-ROM LG 48X
DVD burner Plextor PX-708A
PowerColor ATI Radeon 9800Pro/128m graphics
SB Audigy 2 Platinum Ex (external module) sound card (It will be connected to a Mackie 1202VLZ PRO Mixing Console)
Speakers used are Phonic P5A bi-amped studio monitors
2x 19" Samsung 957MB
Canon CanoScan 5000F scanner
Canon S900 photo printer (wich I already had)
WindowsXP PRO

My question is...

What would be the best HD config for my system...are there many ways to configure them or I don't have a choice...SATA with RAID 0 or mirroring with Norton Ghost...should I make any partitions or leave them just as they are?
Are there any compatibility problems expected with any other of my components in regard with each other?

Thanks in advance for your help ))

I would use a SATA drive but break the partition up. You will get better performance. Put all of Windows files on C:, and use everything else on the second partion. I wouldn't use Norton Ghost, no way, use RAID 0.
