Looking to buy a decent semi-gaming laptop

1. What is your budget?
800ish give or take

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
any size really preferable 15' or less

3. What screen resolution do you want?
any

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
portable

5. How much battery life do you need?
nothing less than 3-4 at least

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Dota 2- High
bf3- med

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
daily general use

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
500gb min if possible a small ssd for OS? if not thats fine

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
as long as possible

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
i just want to avoid acer i had major problems with them in the past and my family as well and just dont wanna deal with them again.

13. What country do you live in?
Canada but i can purchase in US as well so just North america

lenovo y580 is a good gaming laptop for 800

you could play bf3 on high settings

You will NOT get 3/4 hours gaming out of a laptop battery...think 1/2...
