Hi,
I am building a computer. I am getting the graphic card, Xplode from Canopus for my video editing card, the Storm. They said the Xplode wasn't required any longer and that a GE 2 or 3 would be fine, however of course if you did get their card you would get slightly better results. They said that there have been problems with the video overlay using dual heads and that I should get a second card for the second monitor. They said that since I told them I intended to get their older Xplode card, that the second card didn't have to be GE 2 or 3 and that a 32MB should be fine. I'm concerned since I'm building a computer for the first time, that everything is going to work and that I won't need to buy anything for at least a couple of weeks, if you know what I mean! What are some of the better cards for my needs, and as I was thinking, doesn't it make sense to make their card the AGP so that it is the primary or something and this second card a PCI or will Win 2K just figure the whole thing out anyway? I was almost thinking that since this Xplode is an older model I think, maybe getting a better or equal card would be a good idea or would there not be a difference? I need it for editing video, burning and playing DVD and what not. Thanks a lot for your help!
