I am having a problem with System Restore Points disappearing. I created a
test point 2 days ago and it is no longer there.
I installed the latest Real Player update per a discussion I found
concerning this problem, but it hasn't helped.

I have a Dell Dimension 8400. There are 3 drives C, F, G. The F drive is
only 46MB in size and is 100% in use. The other two drives have more than
the minimum 200MB required for system restore. Can I turn off SR on the F
drive without causing any problems?

to free up space run a disk cleanup on that drive that has less than 50MB.
Turning off system restore can free some space, however, as far as causing
problems, well, I don't see how, but then, I'm no MVP, just a plain 'ol
user.

You should also consider turning off System Restore on all but the drives except the one
Windows is installed on.

I did not realize you were the original poster. The monitored drive with no free space
will cause all restore points to be purged. Stop System Restore from monitoring that drive
and the problem should go away.

Thanks. That appears to have fixed the problem. I don't know when SR
stopped functioning properly. I have had this sytem for about 6 months.

Hi,
The restore points would have been deleted when the drive/partitions free space dropped
below 50mb's. You should have received a warning message at the time.
