PROBLEM:
I Created a new Power Scheme, and it vanished after clicking OK

SITUATION:
Whenever I create a power scheme I click Apply then OK. And then when I
go back into it it is gone. And the only ones I see
are Power/Data Saver and WinDVD Creator. If I rename it to a new one it
will still vanished. WinXP is not saving any of my new
Power Schemes. I have to constantly just alter the Power/Data one and
save it. THEN it's not even going on hibernate
at the appointed time (1 hour).

Is anyone else out there having issues with WinXP Power Management?

Boot to Safe Mode, and use the default 'Administrator' account to create the scheme.
