The company that makes "Snappy" has gone out of business and they're blowing them out. The normal price is $100, but you can get one for $7 while they last. It's a device that gets screen caps from video signals (vcr, tv, etc.). Here's the link:

Who cares about that useless software. I'll take a $93 discount to not get something I'd never use anyway! What a kewl thing. You just push a button and BIPP! Instant screen shot. Weeeeeee!!! 8D
Apparently not. I haven't hooked mine up yet but I was just using someone elses. I should have mine connected soon. I'll verify it, but I've never seen a piece of hardware sold that didn't have free downloads of their software. After all, the software is useless without the hardware.
UPDATE: The Snapy module comes with Snappy 4.0 software. Apparently it just doesn't come with Adobe Photo Deluxe, which I don't want anyway. And for 7 bucks this thing is pretty kewl!
I am curious to the quality of the pictures from a camcorder. I had a similar product from a company called Dazzle. It boasted resolutions up to 1500 x 1200. What a crock! It couldn't produce pictures larger then wallet size that were not fuzzy or "blocky", at any stated resolution.
I paid $99 for that piece of cr*p. Maybe I'll do it again for $7.00.
Let me know what you think of the image quality, and at what resolution.

The f*cking link works fine. I just f*cking checked it. I haven't f*cking hooked this thing up yet because I'm so f*cking lazy but I'll let you know if it's any f*cking good once I do. O f*cking K?
It is superior in image quality to the Dazzle unit I had (and got rid of). However, the Dazzle had faster response time, and you could take multiple pictures without stopping the VCR.
But, this certainly is the better product of the two, and definitely worth the price!
