Is this laptop good?

I have been given this laptop for my birthday, the specs look good and for £299 it is a bargain.

Can any experienced people tell me if it is good?

Hi,

If you are going to use it for:

Surfing the web, facebook etc. and writing word documents, then I'd say ok. You can still get better online though.

If you plan to play games stop and forget about it.

Thanks, the only game which I plan on playing on it would be Football Manager which I know would work well on it, however would Flight Simulator work on it, 6gb ram should be enough surely and a dual core processor?

is a netbook, I don't think it would play any games at all.

I doubt about Flight Sim, for FM you'd be ok (i hope your are taking a small rep team and turning it to world class, hehe), the processor ain't great but it would do. The graphics card is integrated so I don't think so.

Wait for other opinions.

cpu review

The cpu/gpu would be great for a netbook type use (since it beats out most atoms in cpu and aces in gpu)

But for a full class notebook it cna only surf and watch vids and low level productivity.

300 pounds = 477 can dollars
for 477 you should be able to get a decent AMD a8 4500m or a10 4600m
I would would not play FSX on this laptop despite its decent amount of ram

Thanks for all the great answers. I will be mostly using it for the Internet and maybe a few program's which I ran smoothly on my old worst laptop so it will run on this one.
