Geforce2 GTS or Geforce MX..

Is a Geforce2 GTS, or the new Gainward MX-400 better? if GTS is better, which model do you reccomend, thanks!

All GTS cards perform better. I recommend you choose the cheapest one, because all the inexpensive ones are exactly the same.

The last card i bought and still have was a Voodoo3 2000 PCI, will a geforce2 work with intel 440BX chipset? I haven an AbitBX6, i havent ever owned an AGP video card so i am rather new, thanks.

GTS would be better then a MX400 for game performance. I have a MX400 which performs alright but nothing to brag about.

Yes, in fact the BX is still considered by many to be the best chipset on the market. It will make your AGP 4x card run at 2x, but since 4x is so underutilized, the performance difference is very small.

I recommend the GeForce 2 GTS for around $140, or the Redeon LE for around $70. There are no cards between $70 and $140 that can perform better than the Radeon LE.

BTW, the Radeon VE and GeForce2 MX are both poor performers.

If you need TV-out, I recommend the Radeon LE TVO.

Micro-Star MS-8831 GeForce2 Pro with 64 Mb 5 ns onboard memory and TV-out. IMHO, best choice.
