As the title says, I'm looking for a trade.
I've got a brand new in the box SI/Qix Anniversary upright. It came direct
from Namco to my door and has been sitting in the corner ever since. Haven't
even opened the packaging.
Also have a fully working The Grid in excellent condition. Some minor
scraping on the side, but nothing major. It was a private use machine and
never saw arcade wear.
What I want is a Pac-Man/Ms. Pac/Galaga cocktail unit. I'd be happy with
either a Class of 1981 machine -or- one of the new 25th Anniversary
machines.
The cocktail does not have to be new, but it should be in excellent
condition and not have arcade use.
I am NOT interested in any gray market or homebuilt cocktails.
If you have a Class of 1981 or a 25th Anniversary cocktail and want to do a
2-for-1 swap straight up, please let me know. I am located in downtown San
Francisco, CA (not far from CA Extreme in San Jose -- it's about a 45 minute
drive down 101).

Interested in selling the SI/Qix if you don't get a trade offer?
Let me know.

While I would of course consider any offer, I would much prefer a trade of
some sort in order to keep the number of transactions to a minimum. The
ultimate goal is to get a Ms Pac/Galaga Cocktail in here and the easiest way
to do that is in a single swap rather than selling and buying. Preference in
any deal will be given to someone that can offer the wanted machine in trade
versus a straight sale of either of my machines.

....but the big issue is that SI/Qix is much less desirable than
Ms Pac/Galaga, so you'll have a hard time finding someone willing to
do a straight-up trade.

Mark,
That's why I offered to swap 2-for-1. I did do some price searching and
found that the SI/Qix sells for a little less than the Class of '81, but not
by much. Together with The Grid, I thought I was offering up a pair of games
that exceeded the value of a Class of '81. I agree it would be pointless to
try and swap just the SI/Qix by itself (even if it is new) for a Class of
'81. I'm certainly not trying to rip anyone off, I'm just a fan trying to
finally acquire a long time favourite game without breaking the bank.

Tell you what! I will swap you EVEN UP, a brand new in the crate Arcade
Legends cocktail...comes with 40 classic games ---but alas no Ms Pacman or
Galaga, but you will be able to upgrade this game as new kits come
out....but will swap it for JUST the SI/QIX---if you pay for the shipping
both ways. I can retail either unit for the same price. and you could sell
The Grid privately to cover your shipping costs of ther 2 machines. Let me
know! Todd from TNT Amusements
