I suppose it depends on what specifically you want to do with a tablet. Off the top of my head you should be able to get a Kindle Fire, Nook and Nexus 7 16GB.

The Kindle and Nook have a forked (or limited) Android OS while the Nexus 7 has a fully functional Android OS. The Nexus 7 cannot be used to take pictures.

Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD are the two best tablets at the $200.00 price point. Difference is open android with nexus 7 and amazon Eco system with Kindle.

I think the Nexus 7 is better than the Galaxy Tab 2 for $199. Overall it has better specs like a 1.2GHz quad core CPU and 16GB of RAM vs. a 1.0GHz dual core CPU and 8GB of RAM. The biggest difference though is the lack of a rear facing camera on the Nexus 7. Therefore, if taking pictures is important, then the Nexus 7 would be automatically disqualified.

jaguarskx - You are correct, just providing some alternatives, Plus didn't see the Nexus 7 @ newegg in the 100->200 buck price range.

Myself I went with the Asus tf700 @ $499 (slighty above his price bracket - LOL). then added a keyboard (older model on sale for $70) then threw in a 32 gig microSD card in tf700, a 64 Gig SD card in keyboard plus use a 64 gig USB3 Thumbdrive (Has about 20+ movies). Also have an ipad

^^^

Yeah, the Nexus 7 16GB is a bit more expensive at Newegg. That's why I provided the link to buy it directly from Google for $200.

I went with the Nexus 7 32GB which I bought from Newegg not very long ago. Still evaluating it, and I pretty sure I will keep it. Even though it has been available for some time, I will likely write a review for it.

Have to agree when factoting in "price"

My budget was a little more, so went with:
Asus tf-700, 1.6 Ghz and 32 gig, 1920x1200 then proceeded to add:
.. 32 gig microSD card to take it to 64 gigs ( cheaper than going with the 64 gig model)
.. detachable Keyboard. Normally around $150, BUT the 200 model KB works and Ofice depot had a clearance, so only $70.
.. Added a 64 gig SD card to the keyboard. Well worth the 70 bucks as it adds an etra battery, SD slot and USB2 connectivity.
.. since it also has a USB port, I have several 32 & 64 gig SSD to share with it. Stock about 24 DVDs/Blu-ray movies that I had converted to the andriod format to enjoy while on Plane, or at work (after hours -LOLs)
