i ahve an asus v7700 with the geforce 2 gts 32mb. i used to get around 85 fps in opengl 800x600 mode after typing in some command that i can't remember. but now all of a sudden i can't get past 60fps. what went wrong? how do i fix it? could it be my dxr3 decoder card slowing me down? or maybe the asus software sitting on my taskbar everytime i start up? please help if you ahve any ideas.

repeat after me, we are all individuals!

Do two things and you should be ok, disable vsync, you can do it on your advanced properties I think.
Go into cstrike folder and look for a file named "config.cfg" it is in one of the subfolder, can't remember which one, and you might not see the ".cfg" part. Open with notepad, and look for the line called max_fps=72 or something. Change the value to 100, and I don't know if you need to do it with the halflife one too, but do it for good measure.
