I have P6bat Me M/b with AGP2x and I want to upgrade from my 8MB vanta card to a descent Graphics card which can allow me to play all new games at 1024 X 768 and 24 bit resolution with descent framerates.(60+FPS)My processor is p3 600b.
Also since my M/B has support for only AGP2X WHAT PERFORMANCE HIT I WOULD GET IF I HAD A HIGH END GPU RUNNING ON AGP 2X?
Will GF2 GTS run properly if coupled with p3 600 or should I go for GF2 mx 400?

Get yourself a GF2 GTS, the MX400 is good but spend the extra.

50-60fps should be achievable on most games at 800x600, 1024x768 should be playable.

An alternative would be a Kyro 2 but it needs about 900mhz minimum to get the most out of it due to no Hardware T&L.

I used to use my GF2 GTS on my PIII Katmai 500mhz and I never had any probs with slow games.

Have fun :)

All MX cards suck. I use the GTS on a BX (AGP 2x) board with great performance. The difference between 2x and 4x is between 0% and 7% with current cards, depending on system configuration and the application.
