Will this be the biggest cult classic since Star Wars? I think it just might be.
I've been waiting for this movie for over a year already, and it's not out for another two months and 15 days!!

Anyone seen the most recent trailer (long one)? It kicks SO much ass. The casting is just incredible, every character looks like they stepped straight out of the books.

i never really got into the jrr tolkien stuff as a kid, just wasn't my thing at least the books any ways. remember watching some of the cartoons, particularily the one with smaug the dragon. it will give me something to look forward too until aotc comes out. good news jar jar will only be in movie 5 mins. whytf couldn't lucas figured that out with tpm

Agreed, but remember that he's a young hobbit and that most of the shots are when they've already been travelling a bit. He'll have lost weight.

Lol- are u serious? U don't think that Hobbits could become skinny though- although I must say that when I cam back from my trek suring summer vacation, I was PUMPED.

It will be very interesting to see how Peter Jackson put this movie together, he´s not famous for doin´serious hi-budget movies directly!
Although I love his earlier movies.
