Hercules 4500

My brother just bought a Kyro II based Hercules 4500, After installing the card and its drivers, he went to test his new scores under 3D Mark 2000. When this loaded, the screen started to become very fuzzy and wavy, like an old TV with bad reception. When he quit to Windows the same continued. He even reinstalled the card, but still no improvement. He is in the process of downloading the latest drivers as I write this, but in the event of that not fixing it, what should he do?

He's got an Athlon 850, with 320MB memory. I don't know off hand what motherboard or chipset he's got: its a OEM PC.
