i know this sounds quite amatureish, but im new to xp (just upgraded from 98se). how do u make a system startup disk? ive tried using the floppy format route, but when i try to boot from the floppy it just boots to xp.

i want 1 (rather than need 1) in case xp goes to hell, as ive experienced with many other os's. just in case i want to format my hard drive and reinstall xp or any other os. it was easy in 98, but cant seem to find out how in xp

You can use the XP cd to boot off of unless its a copy that wasnt made to be bootable. Try <A HREF="http://www.bootdisk.com" target="_new">http://www.bootdisk.com</A>

Make sure that your floppy drive is the first bootable drive in the BIOS.
